God is Good

Published February 28, 2016 by Eleanor

God has been good to me and I am not afraid to tell others how great He has been to me. Tis so sweet to trust upon God’s promises. Just when I think that He has had enough of me, He keeps filling my cup with all that I can manage. I am surely giving him thanks. Do not be afraid to tell of his goodness in your life.

Deuteronomy 26:11 states “So you shall rejoice in every good thing which the Lord your God has given you and your house, you and the Levite stranger who is among you.”

Have a blessed day and may God be with you always.

Feeling Overwhelmed

Published February 20, 2016 by Eleanor

Have you ever felt like you are at the end of the line and you just cannot go any further? That is how I am feeling right now. I am beat! Right now, I would like to let go and just do whatever, but I have a lot to do and not enough time to do it. Some special powers would do the trick but I am not in fantasy land. Laughs out loud to myself…… Now I am back to reality and it is just hitting me that I need some good rest. Hopefully I will tell you how I overcame this feeling. Byeeeeee.

What is Love?

Published February 13, 2016 by Eleanor

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil. (1 Corinthians 13:4-5).

Love is the energy of life. It is what motivates people to get up each day and keep going. Love gives life purpose and meaning. Everywhere you look you see people searching for love…but they’re looking in the wrong places. God is love, and they will never find what they’re looking for until they find Him.

Based on these distinctions of love; it is considered an action. When you experience love; you will feel it and may and may not want to return the favour. If you love someone, you have to show it so that person will experience what you are offering.

Real love is felt so if someone tells you that they love you, consider if you are feeling the love and if and how it is shown.

SMILE

Published February 7, 2016 by Eleanor

What’s in a Smile?

Many see smiling as an involuntary response to things that bring you joy and laughter. Smiling is also a conscious and powerful choice. A genuine smile is attractive to others around us.

Proverbs 15:13-14 states “A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed. The heart of him who understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly.

Rendering service with goodwill to the Lord and not to man; keep this in mind the next time you are asked to do something worthwhile. Have you ever noticed how calm you are when you sing to the Lord? It enables you to smile and be free.

Satan wants to steal our joy and especially from trying to solve our problems. He wants to see anything but joy because the joy of the Lord is our strength. Worry robs us of strength but a smile energizes us.

The Lord makes His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The battle is not ours but the Lords’.
