What is Love?

Published February 13, 2016 by Eleanor

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil. (1 Corinthians 13:4-5).

Love is the energy of life. It is what motivates people to get up each day and keep going. Love gives life purpose and meaning. Everywhere you look you see people searching for love…but they’re looking in the wrong places. God is love, and they will never find what they’re looking for until they find Him.

Based on these distinctions of love; it is considered an action. When you experience love; you will feel it and may and may not want to return the favour. If you love someone, you have to show it so that person will experience what you are offering.

Real love is felt so if someone tells you that they love you, consider if you are feeling the love and if and how it is shown.
